why is it that even though i set my homepage to yahoo.com, firefox doesn't take me there when it opens. it takes me to a blank page. I have to push the home button for it to take me there.

There may be a separate option in play there. You may have your home page set to Yahoo!, which opens when you press the home button, but you may also have Firefox set to open to a blank page.

Dear,
You have to set the homepage in firefox. Do as follows..
Go to->Tools->General->Inside the location->Type your homepage address->click ok !

Did you set the homepage by clicking Tools -> Options -> General?
If not, do so, and you will see an input box for the url. Type in Yahoo's URL. Remember to add the http:// at the beginning.

Have you tried:
Go to the page you want for home. With that page displayed:
cl Tools
cl Internet Options
You will see the address in the address box
click "use current."
Works for me.

check the option in firefox default it is set to open a blank page.

Go to "tools", then "internet options", then type in whatever page you would like. It should take you there every time. Type it in like this:
