If its in outlook:
go to view-reading pane- select your choice
If its outlook express:
view- layout- preview pane and make sure you have checked "Show preview pane"

Have you tried going to Options, General Preferences?
Carefully go over this page. Is there a checkmark in the box by Security, to "block HTML graphics" -- you may have to clear this.
Personally, I don't do this. I leave mine blocked. When I get a legitimate e-mail and pictures are not displayed, at the bottom of the message there is a link to "display HTML graphics." I click this. This way, I display graphics only when I want to. Your choice.

u didn't put the settings right, go to change layout and fix it
