After i go through all the clicking on the Basic LimeWire, then when i get to the Windows Recommended part, it acts wierd. I'd click the windows recommended, a window pops up then closes. Has anyone experienced this problem before? I've downloaded it before, but i think it might have something to do with the computer because we just had it defragged, or whatever you call it. Does anyone know how to get around this issue? Thanks!

I faced the same problem. It might be due to the Java Runtime Environment that Limewire needs to run on. For limewire to install, you should first have jre installed.

Go to www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp and download it. Then restart comp and try installing limewire.

Are you linked to the server? Are the bars in the backside left corner completely loaded? try turning off your firewall and turning it back on when you're performed downloading from limewire. this is risky yet i assume its the only ingredient you're able to do. i take advantage of Comodo firewall professional and have not any problems with it i will flow away the fireall on and nonetheless use limewire...
