A .m3u file is a playlist. It doesn't contain the actual video, it just points to the video file. You will need to get something to download the file before you can burn it to DVD.

Hello Mr M&MJ,

Are you talking about an MPEG file? I've never seen an M3U file before, but then I never knew AVI files could be played on DVDs. The DVDs that I've seen use BUP, IFO, and VOB, and other files like this.

If you meant an MPEG file or a MOV file, the only program that I've ever seen that converts to an AVI is QuickTime Pro for the Macintosh. I'm sorry that I couldn't be of more help. Good luck.
