(if by any reason the full adress does not show above, pls google for "nethack-343-ce-hpc.exe" , that is the file.
it's an installer, i cannot tell if it is Unwise or Install Shield, and it does not open with XUnpack ...
Can someone tell me an unpacker for this, or maybe unpack and send me the .cab files ?
P.S. NethHack is a roguelike game, that is open source and freeware, it is NOT related to hacking or anything else. It's just an old RPG game. And a great and addictive one too.

Install shield files, or .exe do not open with WinRar WinAce WinZip UHArc Lzh LhArc or any othe classical archiving utility. It's not a self-extracting archive, (as in a .rar made a .exe), it's a different one.

More details, it does use Active Sync, but i have no serial cable between my HPC an the PC, thus no Active Sync connection... so i need the .cab inside, to copy it directly on the memory card.

And no, it does not leave temporary .cab files while unpacking it into the my documents/temp, not even while waiting to connect... That is how i tricked all my other apps so far, but not the MOST IMPORTANT ONE :)

I take it this is for a PDA or something similar. You need to run the file (execute it), not unpack it, and it needs to be run on a PC, not the PDA.
It should guide you though the setup, it may require ActiveSync to install it to the PDA. So all you should have to do is double click on the exe file and follow the prompts:

Look around where the program "installed" and see if it left the cab files around. Also, look around any temporary directories. Leave the program running waiting for a connection if necessary
(I've done this before to get driver files for a wireless card, the installer would delete all of the files when it failed to connect, so I had to go any copy the files while it was waiting for me to plug in the wireless card.)

To open compressed files (zip rar jar iso 7z cab uue gz....) you have to use WinRar. With WinRar you can easily decompress files and folders.

If it's open source, you can find the .tar file instead of the executable. And you can use winrar to extract it. Just google for it.
