I recently downloaded BitTorrent. Now I searched a file and want to download it via BT. It shows up in the BT window, but hasn't started. I noticed that it says Checking For Firewall in the bottom right corner. Though, I have no firewall up. It has been stuck there for 10-15 minutes. The interface is not frozen, because all the commands in BT work fine, but it is stuck on that step. What should I do to fix this?

I tried to rotate a picture and it gave me that stupid warning about "you might permanently reduce the quality" 100 times, so I finally set the checkbox for "don't ever show me this message again." But then, I screwed up and clicked "no" at the prompt, and now the program refuses to ever rotate any images at all. Anyone know where the registry key is to put this back as it was?

i just had a combo dvd rewriter added to pc plus i got a cd rewriter too,i was told i can copy dvds from one and recored it on to blank dvd in the combo one,i got nero but icant get it to copy dvd as you can see iam no computer expert

my computer just alerted me that i have a virus.....i ran norton and it quarantined the file and i deleted it but there is this thing called pest trapper that automatically loaded onto my computer....i went to add/remove programs and it said that i have to exit out of it first....i cant....i clicked the red X at the top right corner because this usually closes a program but it says im still using it....so i did a control alt delete to end the task but its not showing as an actively running program...the whole thing shows no programs running....the pest trapper even installed an icon on my desktop...how do i get rid of it? not just the icon...the entire thing

I downloaded an upgrade to my yahoo toolbar today ( because it asked me too )..but now i have got 2...the new one is below the old one so should i just leave it or delete the old one and if so how do i delete the old one....plus my yahoo anti-spy icon has vanished ( wheres that gone lol ) and been replaced with a 30 day free trial norton icon... can anybody help i`m well confused.

i am from hull and so i have no options but to use karoo to get online because they own the monopoly, but anyway heres the problem my pc completely crashed so all i was left with was the black and white bios screen giving me options like start in safe mode start with safe mode plus command prompt and so on and so on..... now none of these ever got my pc on so i rang pc world up and they talked me through a disc recovery procedure and it worked but after a short while of putting the connection disc on and being able to get onto the internet it started behaving weird such as crashing and freezing, so i took my E 220 pc into pc world and had it completely cleaned out and had extra memory in it and when i took it home it worked perfectly for about half an hour and has started crashing again but it seems to be whenever i go on the internet?? i cant use the turn off choices because they change to switch user or log off instead of turn off and restart and whatever the 3rd one is help?????????

I need a formula to calculate a percentage of a number in another cell.

For example. if the number is $1000. I need the total of 30% for the first $500 and then 20% for the remaining amount. So the answer for $1000 should be $250. (if the initial amount was $1500 then the final answer I need is $350).

I get random popups on firefox advertising some "Win-antivirus" which i know is fake.. how do i find the source, file or process that is instigating the popup?? i also get some on internet explorer...

and dont tell me to do an adaware scan, virus scan or spyware scan, cuz i did and it did nothing.....

I uninstalled "kaspersky antivirus" from xp pro(its the 1 i use, 64bit doesn't support many drivers) & as soon as i uninstalled it, i got blue screen with some error message & it shut down the p.c. Now xp is not working. I've tried safe boot, normal startup, last known good config, but nothing works, Its not starting. I'm using xp-64 right now. Is there any way I can make it work???
