i had put mozilla firefox on my pc and was using that as the main browser instead of Internet Explorer. Ive now deleted mozilla.. how do i set Internet Explorer back as the main browser? wheneva i try to open a program it says cant find mozilla firefox exe.

From the browser . . . Tools --> Internet Options --> Programs tab --> check the box at the bottom that says "IE should check to see if it is default".
When you start up IE next it should ask you if you want to make it default.

If you installed another Web browser after installing Internet Explorer and Internet Tools, some of your Internet Explorer settings may have changed. You can reset your Internet Explorer settings to their original defaults, including your home page and search pages, and choice of default browser, without changing your other browser's settings.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Programs tab.
Click the Reset Web Settings button.

Whenever you try to open a 'program'? What program is linked to Mozilla unless you're clicking on the icon for Mozilla. (Which is likely due to the fact you didn't uninstall it properly)
Go into IE Tools > Internet Options > Programs and click on reset web settings.
That will at least make IE the automatic default. I don't have any idea what other voodoo you've got going on over there.

1.) Open "My Computer"
2.) Go to "Tools > Folder Options"
3.) Select the "File Types" tab at the top
4.) In the list, locate the extension ".html"
5.) Click on it, and in the bottom part of the window, where it says "opens with", click the "change" button, then select Internet Explorer as the program to open with.
6.) Repeat steps 4-6 for the extension ".htm" as well.
** If Internet Explorer is not in the list, it can be found in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer" and is named "iexplore.exe"

After you uninstalled mozilla did you do a search for hidden files? Go to start, right click, choose search, type in mozilla, if any files are found delete them. Good luck

click on start, programs, then find Internet Explorer.
Click to open it - it should ask you if you want to make it your default browser.
Say yes.
