I recently downloaded BitTorrent. Now I searched a file and want to download it via BT. It shows up in the BT window, but hasn't started. I noticed that it says Checking For Firewall in the bottom right corner. Though, I have no firewall up. It has been stuck there for 10-15 minutes. The interface is not frozen, because all the commands in BT work fine, but it is stuck on that step. What should I do to fix this?

Thanks!

if you have a router it may have a hidden firewall in it, if you dont know or cant disable it either goto www.dslreports.com to figure it out or completly remove the router and see if you can get it do download direct with your modem, i used to have the same problem...
