This is my sons brithday wish which is switch back to window 95 , so he can play same cd game.

I tried to use winrar to compress files but i got as a result (after compression) file with the same size, how can increase the compression rate?
I've used the maximum compression level but the problem is the same.

the window is labeled (C:\Program Files\Dell). I tried asking dell and they directed me to people who could not speak english well.
Anyway this window popsup everytime i start my laptop.

I have downloaded some movies, some of them are quite long, I know how to convert & burn them ( I use movie dvd maker) the only trouble i have is that if the movie is longer than a blank dvd (120 mins) it wont convert the downloaded files, So I use easy splitter to split the downloaded files into smaller files. Thats ok but it takes a lot of disks.. Is there any way to compress the downloaded movie file (Avi, DivX, MPeg or whatever file type) and then convert to dvd & burn. I have tried to use shrink dvd but it just keeps saying it cant find the file even though I know its in the specified folder,so it obviously wont recognise the file types, So the whole proccess from download to dvd takes nearly all day and I end up with a film on two or three dvd's. Surely there must be a simpler way to do this ?????

Here's the thing: The Pc I had@home ran@900Mh.Pretty slow -after4years it takes a really long time2boot(I even have trouble loading Office)&lets not even talk about games!So,dad brought a Pc(@2.4Gh)from his office&I swiched the hard drives so as not2lose any files or have to reinstall everything.&here's the problem:My PC had2HD with1Windows installation (Prof.)each,&my dad's had1HD with1Windows Prof.installation.I have switched the HD between Pcs and dad's disk isOKwith my old computer.My1st disk is also OK with the2.4Gh Pc also,but the other1(which has all of my files&programs)does not work!I choose the correspondingOSwhen booting,the windows prof. logo appears,it loads and then the screen goes black.Can I do anything to make that disk work?I thought I shouldnt be messing with registry without knowing what I'm doing.I could create a new windows istallation that works© all files,but installing every program again is great fuss(cant do a4thOffice activation)I could use some help!

I have been a die hard winamp 2.8 user for a very long time. I have finally given it some thought and I may upgrade to the latest and the greatest. The one thing that I think would really get me to switch is this feature:
-Lets say I have a selected a few mp3s' to play and I want to add another one on the fly. With 2.8 I either have to drag and drop the file into winamp or right click it and select "enqueue into winamp". IF I double lcik it, my current playlist is wiped out and Winamp just opens the one file. Is there a way to simply double click an mp3 in the new winamp so that it is automatically added to the tail end of whatever lists you got going on?
*please note that I am not talking about playlists, like creating playlists or modifying playlists, I know how to do that.

I have a 250gb Sata HD. its partitioned into a 30 gig section and then into a 220 gb section. i was gunna try to delete the 30 gig section while i was installing xp pro. does that mess up my other section? can i then partition it agian without messing up and losing the data from the 220 partition? any help would be great!

The sound card stopped working when I installed SP2 on this machine. I attempted to re-install the drivers from the manufacturer's website to no avail. I'm half-thinking of reinstalling Windows to try to fix this, but I'd rather not given the choice.

It's a laptop with a Realtek AC97 compatible sound card. Drivers were retrieved from both the laptop manufacturer and the sound chip manufacturer. The occasional system beep comes from the speakers, but no audio playback works.

Any thoughts?

I wrote a letter to a friend in WORD and printed it out. Then I went into my documents and deleted that WORD domument, but everytime I open WORD up, that same old letter to my friend is still there. Even if I delete the text, change it and save it as something else, my old letter to my friend will reappear the next time I open WORD. What's going on? How do I get rid of it for good?

Can I burn .wmv or rmvb video files to DVD ?

It became italicized after i install Simcity 3000 Unlimited onto it. I uninstalled the game soon afterwards and it was still stuck that way.
