I simply want to view the files I have stored there? Why is it doing this? I think it's obvious that I don't want to open it with Adobe reader or Microsoft Word! Can anybody help? Thanks in advance? I'm using XP Home Edition, by the way.

Because the USB is a Universal Serial Buss controller, It could be anything that you have connected. Camera, movies Programs such as EXE's... Next time you plug in your "Whatever" put a check in the box to always use this program, then select the program you wish to ALWAYS open that device. and next time you plug it in to that USB port it will open it with whatever you chose.
