Software - July 2006

I already have word and excel. I just need powerpoint (and it must be powerpoint). I can only seem to find it with the other software. I really dont want to pay for software that I already have. Oh, and i'm not after the viewer, or a clone.

Sometimes when it opens, it shows the Reviewing toolbar. I don't want it and get rid of it every time (right click, uncheck the box) , but next time: there it is again! Can I stop this happening? Grrr! I like the wee cat tho!

In my asp.net application i have used a variable like s="add". In client script i used the value of that variable as var s="<%=applicationname.page.s%>". after i used that variable "s", i have to clear it through the script. How to do ?

I also want to know what format is used in DVD/VCD players. I've tried out a few softwares, but they only allow you to convert the whole video if you register. Are there any free ones out there? Thanks!

It seems RealMedia has screwed themselves with their proprietary format. None of the major programs like Sony Vegas support their format, which is unfortunate for both them and us consumers.

I have an .rm file that I want to post to an image/video hosting place, but they too do not support .rm, so I need to convert it.

Help! :)

I tried reinstalling the program twice, and everything was fine, for a while. Sometimes, everything freezes and I just unplug the computer for 10 seconds. How can I "check" everything out to make sure I am doing all I can? I hate Dell. What is a better, more reliable computer?

For instance, I have Dell's Musicmatch Jukebox. I have tons of songs on it but tonight it will not open the program. This has happened before and I end up re-setting the computer to an earlier date, which fixes it. Any suggestions that will permanently fix this annoying problem?

I don't have a CD since the computer came installed with it.......
Anyone know what to do? It's just that I'm so clogged with junk.. and have some virus, spyware, malware BLAH!! and I'm too frustrated with anti-virus and spyware scanners!!!!!!!!!!!!! My computer is frustrating me with slowness..........
Can anyone help me? I don't have an installtion CD so I can't do anything...
P.S: If I do reinstall will I have any problems with the XP key which I don't have/remeber? (how can I get it)

In Windows 2000 operating system that is removing something from the start of menu (so the program does not automatically load on start up, erase the program or were simply remove it from the start of menu? If it's the latter, why do I get a dialog box that says something about the trash bin?

I'm using dreamweaver 8 and i'm not satisfied with it, i want the old version which is much better. Before Macromedia became Adobe site i can still search for MX but now any downloading site who links up to dreamweaver mx leads me to downloading site of Adobe for Dreamweaver 8.
