For instance, I have Dell's Musicmatch Jukebox. I have tons of songs on it but tonight it will not open the program. This has happened before and I end up re-setting the computer to an earlier date, which fixes it. Any suggestions that will permanently fix this annoying problem?

1. I would not recommend using of any programs that are coming with new Dell. All my PC were Dells, and I have learned already, that all the freebies they supply, are not good. Search Internet for free audio player, find one with the best rating and install it. Anyway, Musicmatch is one of the worth, especially their free version.
2. If you can roll back your PC to recover the PC performance, something is going on, damaging your drivers. Note, what did you do to cause the failure. Check the PC for viruses and Trojans, clean the disk and defragment it. Be sure that your Hard Drive is not full. Try to leave at least 30% of the space free for operations.
3. If you do want to keep all your programs, try to find latest updates for them on the manufacturers sites. Every new release solves some known bugs in the code (it might generate new as well).
4. Dell is a good brand, and Windows is fine as well. You just have to like your PC and keep it well maintained.
Good Luck.

You have a corrupt file or two, or three, or four.... Best I can say is to see if your system software has Automatic Recovery or a recovery disk. A more permanent solution would be to chuck Windows and put on Linux.
