I tried reinstalling the program twice, and everything was fine, for a while. Sometimes, everything freezes and I just unplug the computer for 10 seconds. How can I "check" everything out to make sure I am doing all I can? I hate Dell. What is a better, more reliable computer?

1-You need more space in your harddisk
2-Delete the games you played.
3-Delete tem directory inside windows directory.
4-You should upgrade to more RAM
5-Check for viruses
6-Or buy a new harddisk

computer= harddisk+ RAM+ speed

What program are you reinstalling? Are you talking about an operating system?

This is most likely a hardware issue if you have installed Windows several times. You need to make sure your drivers are properly installed - right-click my computer, go to properties, click hardware tab, then device manager. check for yellow questions marks. Download new drivers from Dell.

You might also try start menu --> run --> chkdsk /r. You will have to restart.

Contact Dell. There are lights on the backs of the desktop with color code specific errors.

What you got is a lemon. Any manufacturer can have lemon computers. It is not Dell's fault. I would call Dell and scream at them. Your problem looks like a hardware issue.
