i have a crummy computer. i try to put flash 8 on it a few weeks ago and it said something about 'ISScript' not being able to run. my other computer can take it but it is a wondermachine. i have an emachines ummmm crappy2000 i think. i cant find the box. i got it around christmastime for about 300$. i really like making the little cartoons and stuff but i dont get to use the other computer as much so i'd like it on this one. thank ya all for your help.

I am currently using my authentic Windows 2000 professional. I was planning to buy a Microsoft Academic Windows XP Professional SP2 Upgrade.

Would that upgrade the Windows 2000 professional to XP professional smoothly?

What are the differences between the academic version and the full version?

what more do you get if you get service pack 2 and is it hard to do it.i went to microsofts website,but it seems like it may be difficult to do this .any opinions?thanks

I can't click on any icons or the start menu or anything when I boot it up.... It just sits there frozen... Oh yes... and there's a wireless card in there... I don't want to lose the driver for it because i don't have the CD for it... is this possible? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

On my desktop, no matter what folder I'm in it'll have an option to the side to view photos as slide show. I just got a new laptop that also has XP professional on it, and a lot folders dont give me the option to view as slideshow or to view in filmstrip mode. How can I fix this???

What is a good media player that reconises multi formats ie: cue files /bin files and mpegs's at the moment i'm using VLC and Windows Media player but keep having to switch between them to view different files , is their a player that will read/play all formats and Codecs ?

I've got Windows 2000 with a ton of applications running at startup... Need to get rid of some?

I've got Windows 2000 with a ton of applications running at startup... I've removed all items from my StartUp folder, but still when I do a Ctrl+Alt+Delete to open task manager, there's a bunch of things running... how do I find out what these are, and stop them from running automatically if they don't need to be? Again, I've already done the StartUp folder clean-out... All of these processes aren't listed there. HELP! Thanks.

Tried the MSCONFIG thing from the run bar that worked in Win98... No longer does here, or is my computer jacked up?

I am having three active accounts in my XP PC, one administrator account, which I can't access, my account, which have guest rights, and one default windows guest account, by chance that Guest account have administrator rights and I have the password of that account, Then how can I log in thru that account, because I want admin rights??

When I had Windows 98SE I could install Norton antivirus with no problem but now I have Windows 2000 pro and it says I need SP2 why is this when Windows 2000 is newer than Windows 98SE?
