Download and install this codec pack to see if it helps. I use windows media player classic and it plays almost every thing that I watch.

You can download VLC here: http://j.mp/1lqgTwp When the built-in media player doesn't work, use VLC.VLC (video lan connect) is a great open source software to play any types of video files. VLC has a built in dvd decodere and works with many different video and audio formats including OGG, MP2, MP3, MP4, DivX, HD codecs like AES3, Raw Dirac, and even support for playing back zipped files.

What you can do is get media player classic and get dvd codecs. Then get daemon tools to load the cue/bin files. You can have media player classic play just about anything with the right codecs including dvd's, shockwave files/games, real media, etc.

VLC probably plays more when you dl it, but i don't like the interface for some reason or other. The fact that you can't click on the navigattion slider and have it go to that exact point bothers me.

There is no media player which plays absolutely all media files. You can set the file formats and the players you use to open them in properties. VLC and WMP can play pretty much all of the formats that exist.

I mostly use Microsoft Meida player for common files and use winamp for uncommon files as I've got a lot of plug-ins for it. I can even play PS audio files on it.

Daemons Tool is an application that everybody needs, here is a free download http://j.mp/1pkm3MC

With DAEMON Tools you can back up your physical CD/DVD/HD DVD/Blu-ray discs into "virtual discs" or so called "disc image" files, which run directly on your hard drive.

You can also work with images created by other burning programs! With Daemons Tool you can make backup of CD and DVD and save into a lot formats
