to install XP do you have to uninstall 98 and do you loose all your files

the laptop now when turned on just comes up with a blank screen and the operating system does not cut in. Does anyone know if this is done by microsoft or a hardware problem with my laptop and how it maybe resolved?? Or whether my programmes/work/photo's etc may be lost???

Whenever there is a link given for replying, my MS Outlook (Create mail option) is opened although I have configured my Id on Outlook Express. I would like to know the way in which, on clicking on such link either create mail page of my Outlook Express/Yahoo shall open insite of MS Outlook.

When I had my computer reformatted, I have to install my printer again.But I lost our Lexmark X1185 CD driver. I don't want to buy another printer because I'm satisfied with my Lexmark. I just can't install it without my driver.

the laptop has xp on it and it comes on and everything looks ok, but then the screen turns blue and there is alot of words, but I can't read it befor it loops back and starts again. I know it says there is some kind of fatal inception! HELP

Next page is not shown as the separate page. Nevertheless, the page break line is shown between the two pages but all the pages are joined to each other. How to separate them. I tried to separate them by going to view also and changed all the views but could not successfully separate them. How to solve this? Thanks? Pleasae advise.
