Movies don't have sound?

I have downloaded a bunch of movies (.avi) and none have sound. Maybe I'm missing Codecs or something? My other movies do have sound tho.

Yep, it's probably a codec issue.

Download Gspot. Open it up and then goto file and open your video file, there it will tell you what audio codec and video codec is needed to play the file, even if the codec's aren't installed. from there you should be able to figure out which codec to search for.
