This morning it was fine. But now everytime I watch a video, there's a lot of studdering going on. Why is that? I downloaded "The Movies" game today, which downloaded media player 9 I believe, I'm not sure if it has something to do with this?

Hey everyone! I am new to making computers but wish to take on a project over the next year of making a computer with a distinct focus on entertainment, specifically film and music.
What I am wondering is if anyone with good, solid computer knowledge can help me answer a few questions about if what I wish to do is even attainable and perhaps give me pointers or guide me to some sites that might help me.
What I want out of the finished product:
-Allow me to 'plug in' a record player/cd unit
-Allow me to use a 22 inch w/s monitor for movies/etc
-use a 17 inch monitor to place on coffee table for messaging, homework, etc.
-solid audio and output capabilities

What would you reccommend to me, and how much should I set aside for the computer itself?

I want to block nickelodeon.
I got this 8 yr old cousin that doesn't understand how to listen. On occasion I allow her to use it but not unsupervised. Today, i came into my room only to find her and a bunch of kids on MY computer playing games.
I need this to stop.

ok so i entered a prepaid debit card number (not a prepaid itunes card). The prepaid debit only had $2.50 on it yet i managed to buy 4 tv episodes. I havent tryed to download another because i did not even realize at first that i only had $2.50 on the card. I was just wondering if this has ever happened to anybody or if i will somehow be charged for this ( i dont know how i can be charged because the prepaid is the only thing i have on account). Is it a good idea to update your os on a computer, like if i went from windows xp pro to windows student edition? or is it better to stay on the original operating system and just keep on updating that one?

I had to restore my PC because it crashed. I guess it erased my iTunes library. Is there any way to get my music back? I have the songs on my iPod but it won't let me transfer them to a new library.

i am think of vista as that works with DX10 games but which one 32 bit s or 64 bits cos the ram i have 4 gig of ram but cant use more than 3 on the 32 bits ..

I Trried downloading google earth it went super fast upto 99% where it crashed then i tried to download mozilla firefox which crashed at 24% this is so weird

i use windows vista and a brand new acer laptop

what specifications of computer parts should i get when I plan to buy a new computer that I'll be using most in playing SIMS 2 and it's expansion packs and some adobe graphic softwares? like I'm also gonna do some flash and graphic modeling softwares. need help because I'm gonna get a new set of computer this coming new year. thanks!

How do you get it to no show up ANYWHERE in your computer? I deleted it from the history of visited files, etc. If my parents take the computer in to be cleaned can they find it somewhere that someone was looking at this?
I am not ratting him out but will it show anywhere?
Also how come it shows like ladies in ******** (whatevere town you live in)? Does it have a tracker or something?

For some reason, when I opened internet explorer today my taskbar changed. Now, the only buttons it has is back, forward, refresh and stop. It no longer has the "home" button or the star for the "favorites" button.... why is this and how do I get them back?

I've been told that I should defrag my computer to help it run better, except I have pretty much no computer knowledge.

What exactly is defragging?

What does it do (does it remove programs? old documents?)?

How would I go about doing it?

Any knowledge you could give me would be great. Even if something seems obvious feel free to share :-D Thanks so much!!!
