Is there any software to remove such programmes

If you've deleted files needed for the program to Uninstall, then you must re-install to put the missing files back. And THEN you can use Add/Remove Programs to Uninstall it.

go to start/run/type in regedit/ then a box will appear in the tabe find the edit tab the open it scroll down to Find then a new box will appear type in the deleted program and when it comes up just delete it from the registry. do this again several time till there are no more results returned from the search. now go to add and remove programs and try to remove it again and you should get a message that it has already been removed would you like to remove this entry and then click yes.

do you mean you are trying to remove a program from add/remove programs, but they not uninstall

dont delete things is the registry unless youre SURE its ok to delete .. it could totally f up your pc
you can reinstall the program then uninstall it properly
