We can select a special table in MS Word in which we can see the cells in grey colour on our screen but those boxes are invisible after taking the printout. This is a very useful feature for typical formatting. But the problem is that I can't see the table in grey, instead it is seen in white and I am unable to see the cells and put the text in it. Could you tell me how can I turn the colour of cells of the table to grey so that I can easily see the boxes and put the text in the same?

I have this problem for a while and its driving me mad. i have given my old pc to my parents, it has been put away for a year and has an administrator password on that i cannot remember.
I have tried everything to get into windows, but it won't let me. The only option it gives is to log on as administrator with the password which i dont have. i cannot log on as anyother user or make any new accounts.
I have someone sending me a copy of windowsXP, now i just need to make the pc boot from the cd drive.
I have been into BIOS and i dont think it will let me change the order because i dont have administritive rights?..i think thats what it said.
Any help would be really appreciated. My parents have been paying for broadband for a week and not been able to use it, its so frustrating!

I understand that there is such a thing as an "archive". How do I find it and will it tell me where my kid has been when I wasn't looking? Please help. News on the TV regarding kids getting to sites which are harmful to them has me concerned. Any help?

When I shut down, I get a pop up window that says that rundll32 is not responding with the option to cancel or end now. When I hit end now, the computer shuts down fine, but its annoying that my computer can't just shut down by itself. Any suggestions? I'm running XP.

tried the option in right clickng the drive i want to scan for errors then it prompts me to check it on the next startup but still it automatically cancels. tried in cmd chkdsk /f it says cannot lock drive...and the usual will scan the next startup. some of my files suddenly gets corrupted 1 by 1. pls help.

Few sites are quite educative, interesting and have lot of link-pages. Every time I am unable to see it in "on-line" for want of lack of time, as well the fear of spending more money in continuous usage of net for hours to gether!!
My question is: Is there a simple way, or else any way at all such, to down load a dynamic site with all pictorial supports, and link pages, in to our computer hard-disc, or in to a USB pen-drive, so that I can see those whole things in the later period in Off-line?
I am quite new to computer, as well as for net too, so kindly tell me to, like for a lay-man please!

Im just wondering if using the alternative upload method on Youtube would have an effect on video quality. (You use the alternative upload method by clicking "click here" under where you are supposed to choose the file to upload [on the sceen after you fill in the video info])?

Im guessing no, because they are just sending the bytes in 2 different methods. (I think in the normal upload way sends a bunch of little packets [of bytes], and the alternate upload way sends fewer big packets).

So overall I believe no, but hey, I might be wrong.

I click on Halo Trial I click On coninue anyway on the first 2 boxes and the 3rd 1 says please run DXDIAG I do that I run all the tests and it still says that then I download all The newer versions of Direct X and it still says that? Please Help!!!

A buddy of mine sent me some TV shows in various formats. I noticed some shows were recorded at higher volumes than others. I have no problems turning down the high volumes for some but the quiet ones are tougher to deal with. I tried adjusting all the volume switches but the sounds are still too low. Is there a software or a patch that would work with Windows Media Player to amplify sounds from a movie?

Okay, I downloaded some icons for windows XP, and I need to know: How do I get them to replace the default icons for things like recycle bin empty/full, my computer, & my documents? Is it even possible?

Took my laptop to GeekSquad today & while there, they downloaded the latest version (11) of WMP.

I *think* the guy clicked on something to allow the Best Buy wireless sysytem to connect to my laptop while I was there, I dunno.

Bottomline is, now I can't connect to my own. (I only notice hours after I got home with it)

I'm sure it's just a matter of clicking here & there & it's back...but where/what?
