I don't know much about comupters, but mine is getting so slow. I have a Dell with windows XP. Is there anything I can do to make it the way it used to be?

hmmm...there are tons of things to slow down your computer. Some to name a few are a lack of ram, a cluttered Regestry, and the temp internet file is full....and on and on. Go to My computer and see how much free space you have, if you right click on the drive and click properties it will tell you. I recommend to start you get rid of any old files/programs you dont use anymore.
Then click start>programs>accessories>system tools. Run disk clean up and disk defragmentor. After that run your antivirus program. If you dont have one you can download a free one that works pretty good called AVG...I prefer Norton.
If that does nothing call Dell or a local computer store for a tune up. I hope that helps a little. I'm just learning about this computer stuff myself. ^_^

Hi

Ok , first DSL DOES NOT have anything to do with the pc , remember thats just an INTERNET CONNECTION . Now when a pc conneted to the internet DOES slow down a little sometimes it means that theres a virus running and connecting to the internet why , cause some viruses run ONLY when they find an internet connection . Now first do a scan of the pc both virus and spyware , then , verify that the firewall is setup properly , then if you can try to take out some software that are loading with windows that can do a little change on the speed

Have it checked to make sure it's not a virus. If it's not, call your provider to have it checked out.
