My youngest sister has been caught with having some very inappropriate stuff on her myspace page & my dad wants to block the site so that she can't use it. (She's a hermit but needs to get out, hang out w/ her friends & get a life anyways.) The only problem is that he doesn't want to block it from me cause I have a friend who lives in Australia that I communicate with on there. Does anyone know how you can block certain websites on just certain computers? We have 3 computers (dad's, sister's & mine that I bought myself) but only need to block the one. Right now all we know how to do is to log into our router & completely block or unblock the site whenever but it's getting to be a pain to have to do that whenever we want to use a site....we just want to prevent access for my sister. Any help would be appreciated!!!

P.S. We have a DLink router, cable net access & Windows XP OS

WORST VIRUS EVER --- CNN ANNOUNCED
PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST!!

A new virus has just been discovered that has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive ever. This virus was discovered yesterday afternoon by McAfee . This virus simply destroys Sector Zero from the hard disk, where vital information for its functioning are stored.
This virus acts in the following manner:
It sends itself automatically to all contacts on your list with the title:
"A Card for You".

As soon as the supposed virtual card is opened the computer freezes so
That the user has to reboot. When the ctrl+alt+ del keys or the reset button are pressed, the virus destroys Sector Zero, thus permanently destroying the hard disk.Yesterday in just a few hours this virus caused panic in New York , according to news broadcast by CNN.

This alert was received by an employee of Microsoft itself.

So don't open any mails with subject: "A Virtual Card for You."

As soon as you get the mail,delete it !! Even if you know the sender !!!

I posted a few days ago but nobody answered to what I added to my question, sorry I'm not good at this yahoo question thing. So here it goes again.

My dad lives in Florida and is 72 yrs old I live in another state, he forgot his password to log onto his computer. This computer is only used to play games on and isn't connected to the internet.
My dad told me the computer he has is a compaq presario 5000 series with windows xp.

its extremely slow and im on high speed at work......half of my commands dont work.....icons are useless, i keep getting error on page, it seems that every program i run is slow and i am just before the point of getting a shotgun and putting the damn thing out of my misery!....anyone know whats going on?

my internet explorer acts weird due to some malware i had a while back, but ever since i got rid of the malware, iexplorer would still act weird. so i got firefox and blocked iexplorer with my firewall, but i still get weird pop up things out of nowhere. of course they dont say anything but its really annoying and it makes my pc run slow.
so i went to remove programs in the control panel and was going to remove iexplorer but it said something like, a bunch of programs use this program or some weird **** like that. so i was wondering if it was safe to uninstall internet explorer?

Just to let you know, this copy isn't illegal. It won't install because I don't have the CD Key, and it is also password protected. I know there are programs I could buy that will open a document, but the program won't even install to get to the point where I could try to open a document.

I live in a building with free wireless internet. I get great signal (full signal actually). Normally when I connect to it, I launch my browser and a sign in page comes up to log in with a username and password.

I need to know what kind of setup this is called as I am having trouble keeping connected to the network with my new Mac.

I thought it was a WEP or WPA but apparently those kinds, you sign on in a window, not a webpage.

I am currently on the 2mb unlimited package with tiscali. I use uTorrent and usually get speeds of 20 - 60 kb/s. If i was upgrade to 8MB/s would my download speed get much faster?

When I plug in the external speaker from my Lennox boom box into my computer the volume from the computer music is way to low. But, if I plug this Lennox into my radio police scanner the sound is loud- any ideas? I have the volume on high in the computer settings. Not sure why the computer is not driving the music into the speaker like the scanner does.

Im and trying to download an mp3 nut click on it and it just streams in quicktime the instructions say right click to download but on a mac - no right click, i thought its was alt click, but thdosnt seem to work any ideas?

I have a brand new core 2 duo e6400 desktop with a asus p5b motherboard, liteon dvd 16x burner with sony 16x discs. It is only burning at 8.1x, and starts off slowly at 5.8x. The hard disk where the image is located at is on a SATA hard disk 300.

Hello. I have a wallpaper currently being used on my computer that I got off the internet. I saved the file to my computer, but it has recently been deleted (and removed from recycle bin also) by another user of the computer. I wanted to send the image to a friend, but I don't know if there is a way I can retrieve it. Is it stored elsewhere on my computer while it is being used as wallpaper? It has also been deleted from the site I got it from. I'd be so grateful for any help!
