If this problem is with all websites with picture content, then check yr 'Internet setting' in Internet Explorer (I'm assuming you use IE). Go to 'tools' 'Internet Options' 'Advanced' and look for Multimedia. The box described as 'Show Pictures should be ticked...
If only a few websites are affected then, as a previous poster said, the image content for this link has gone.

There could be 2 causes. If you are viewing a website sent in an email program, the images may be turned off for security reason. There should be a tab to click on to show the images. If you are viewing a webpage in your browser and you see these red x's, the website has a problem with the link path to the images. There is nothing you can do about it. This was a mistake on their part and only they can correct it.

I had the same problem.I found that even though my "Show Pictures " in the advanced IO was checked, the problem continued.Setting it back to "Restore Default" and starting over curred that bug.
