I switched from Xp home to Xp pro and now I have no sound but everything is said to be working properly. HELP!

you need to install the sound driver for your sound card, you should have got a driver disc with the pc, install them from that or go to the manufacturers web site and look for driver downloads and then look for the sound driver and download and install it

Go to start > control panel > system > try sound or go to system > hardware > device manager > look for you sound or anyting that has a ! next to it and right clikc on it and select update driver. Make sure you are online when you do this. Also you might have to switch to classic view in control panel to view these.
