my computer doesn't play dvds on media player and all the other programs and it shows me a message on media player saying i need to lower my resolution on the computer but even that doesn't work

if i try to uninstall it says it cannot because access is denied! when i try the on cd re install or repair/modify the only option is to remove it, when i use that it says it is gone, then when i go to reinstall it only has the option to remove!! no option to re install!!!! it is doing myhead in!!!! this happens weather i do it through device manager or try to delete the files direct or anything , it will not get off my computer!!!! all i wanna do is get the thing working again!!!!

what the heck, ?? My browser keeps shutting down on me, I've recently done a complete recovery, to my knowledge there's no third party anything, I've only used what came loaded with the computer and necessary updates.,,, arrrrggggghhhhhh ,I haven't even opened any emails yet or anything.

someone once showed me how to change my computer to how it was say 1 year ago,and in the process deleting all files and setting i have changed recently.Is it in the advanced set up mode i can do that?if so,how do i get into adv set up mode?see,i can see the window that says;BIOS F2,but pressing del several times is not changing anything.
hope,im making a little sense,please help,i just want to delete everything except windows.

My dell computer with windows xp and roadrunner internet won't do ANYTHING! I can't click on ANY icon, including the internet, and get it to pull up anything. I have had several people tell me that it must have a virus and to go purchase something to clean it out, but what??? I can't get online to purchase or download any virus cleaner because it won't let me get in. I am not a computer guru, so will someone PLEASE tell me what to do, or what to go and buy to make it run again. Will cleaning the harddrive out help? If so, how is it done? Thanks for ANY advice you may offer...

I am looking at selling my computer , but i want to make sure that i get all information off it so no one can steal my idenity. I would like to do this without buying and software. Someone told me to just crash my computer but i'm not sure if that will work or not and i don't know how to do that.

I have tried removing this from my Comp by using add/remove in the control panel. It briefly starts for a second or so then stops. Any other way of removing it please
P.S. I know next to nothing about Comps so a straight forward method please

When this happens I have to use the back button's down arrow, which now says "current page," and go back manually. This is extremely frustrating since I have a "back" button on my mouse which won't work if the drop down back says "current page." Can anything be done to stop it? Thanks!

when i start my computer it takes me to my background, but it has no start menu or taskbar and there are also no icons on my desktop... if i want to start a program the only way I am able to do that is by going to the task manager and starting it from there. i need help getting this fixed its annoying !!

I have been getting a message that says error report, send or don't send, that pops up everytime I exit internet. Also when I am checking my email, and hour glass comes up (where cursor is) off and on. I ran a virus scan and there were no viruses detected. What else could be causing this? When the error report pops up, it completely kicks me out and then I have to start over. Thanks.

I took it to staples and the person there had it working, but when I brought it home, it started acting up again. She thinks it is a software problem. She suggested I do a restore and I have tried to do a restore to specific dates and it won't allow the restore to happen. I was using my son's CPU while mine was at Staples and this didn't happen with his (I thought it might be the power in the house at first). Any suggestions?

I was using LimeWire and I downloaded a movie clip........

It wont play and when I right click on it there's not the option to delete. When I highlight it and go to task or film and hit delete nothing happens.

File type = Movie Clip

How can I get rid of this thing?
