You may need to convert these files to avi or mpg format on a windows machine first.

not sure if this will work or not but VLC player is free and its never failed to play anything ive wanted. although with mac im unsure but worth a try

try installing movie maker
(download from Microsoft.com)
if you cant do that then you cant open it.
