I can not get my speakers on my computer to play any sort of sound. They are connected properly but just wont work. Any ideas???

First of all check a sound icon is present in system tray if not install sound card driver,if present goto->control panel->sounds and audio devices->voice tab->select test hardware after this process finished restart u r computer and another one point if u r using intel mother board with high definiton audio device controller with Windows XP u must install windows xp service pack2.That's it these r the ideas i know according to u r question...

Sorry I don't have an answer however I have the same problem I upped to win98
from 95 now nothing works used too with 95. tried everything I know plus Internet searches new drivers, software media player I give up !!!!
Try this site ( askdavetaylor) in search good luck .

The problem is probably in your drivers, go to your start button, then settings. then click on add new hardware. Follow the on screen instructions and let windows look for the hardware. It will probably need to install new drivers. If they aren't on your system, you can get them on-line. Windows is very helpful, and will even give you a link. Good luck.
