Around three or four times, my computer's been having this weird error-screen suddenly becomes blue with text, then before I know it it shifts back to the Windows program again, although there's a dialogue box saying the computer's recovered from a serious error. At least that happened with the first ones. The last time it did that I had to restart the computer again because it was taking longer to go back to Windows again, and it worked fine after that. ANother recovered from error dialogue box again, though. Can anyone tell me what might be it? Is that an error message you get when the hard drive life cycle is nearing its end? Can not using the computer slow down the process or dos it have no effect? Thanks.

Anyway I got my DVD Drive and 04 But recently Its been Overheating.......... Badly But now its getting to where it Shakes The Desk well Vibrates more less and this is a very Strong desk to if i am not Mistaken Its oak and its thick so my question is what does this mean can i fix it myself or is it a piece Of **** Which is most likely?

Why not build a 50 terabyte hard drive now? why not make dvd burners burn at 52x now? why not have 20 gigs of RAM? why not have 10ghz processors now? Why do digital cameras keep progressing by 1 megapixel? These things will all exist eventually, why do we take baby steps to get there? Can it really be that these things arent possible yet? What makes technology move so slowly?

I am not a game player. My concentation level and comprehension levels are not good. No, I am not old it is just that my body has been here a long time. I have played with things on my computer with dvds and cds but that is not right. So, are there legal things I can do to entertain myself that are comparable to those things that I can experiment on? My friend's husband is cheating on her. They found out her husband used Yahoo! Mail in their computer at home to email his "mistress"(issue about a "mistress" is established by my friend & admitted by her husband).My friend wants to "penetrate" husband's email to gather info about his affair, and if possible, use as evidence in a future legal case. Typing in "anything"(any single letter or number) in the Yahoo ID blank box(during Yahoo Email sign-in) wont reveal any Yahoo ID which might be her husband's(Knowing that, when you tick the "Remember my Yahoo ID checkbox", typing the 1st letter of you Yahoo ID would reveal your complete Yahoo ID the next time you try to sign-in). Is there any other way to penetrate the husband's email or learn the email address/Yahoo ID? Thanks

I checked my windows start up folder but there are things that just take it upon themselves to start up every time I reboot my computer.
(Logictec tray, Itune helper, MSmsges, etc.) Is there any way for me to keep that from happening anymore?

I have wasted over 3 hours on the phone to BT home computing with no answer just that I am in a queue. If you talk to a person in the billing dept they tell me they cant sort this as it is a different dept and they transfer me and again I dont get answered cos I am in a queue. I have emailed and given a ref no and still no satisfaction. My answer to all this is that i am cancelling Bt phone, broadband and anything else that may derive from Bt and go to Telewest. I have been with Bt for as long as I can remember and there service has deteriated so much as to there now being no customer satisfaction

I just received my brand new Dell laptop two days ago. I am having issues already. I have gone to several sites tonight that keep locking up my computer. I have not downloaded any software on it yet other than what came installed. here is a couple examples of the issues tonight:

on my myspace profile page an error comes up that says photobucket your bandwidth has been exceeded all over it where the layout should be, yet you can go to another computers and access it just fine.

I went to xmradio.com to listen to my satelite radio online and when you click the player launch the screen freezes

I went online to zune.net to install the software on this computer also and when I click download the screen freezes.

basically after the screen freezes the explorer just quits responding.

my other computers are working just fine, they are all on a wireless network.

Any Ideas?

I installed the language pack for Japanese on WindowsXP but when I try to type, I only get katakana and it is not the right keyboard layout. For example, if I type number '4', I get 'ｳ' which is katakana 'U'. I want the 'U' key to be katakana 'U'. And it won't show hiragana either. I'm so confused and irritated; can someone please help? I tried the MSHelp site but they make it so bloody difficult to email them that I gave up.
