i have been having problems with my computer all week long, but here is my question. when i click on a anything that drops down or up, it is just a clear box until i take my pointer across it to look then it looks kind of normal, does anyone know how to fix this or why it is doing it? Please help, this is so annoying.

i have aol wireless but it is currently being run through cables how do i set it up as wireless. i dont know if my computer has wireless caperbility i have been told i need a network adaptor, it looks like a bluetooth dongle am i right, or can i use a bluetooth dongle? how dose wireless internet work is it like bluetooth?

Hardware: The MacBook Pro is the best laptop money can buy.
Software: OSX Tiger is at least as advanced as Windows Vista. OSX Leopard - dubbed Vista 2.0 - is out next Spring. Microsoft Office 2004 runs on the MacBook Pro, and Office For Mac 2007 is out next Spring.

Why then is anyone still using a PC? And why is anyone even contemplating buying Vista?

The only reason I can think of is that you are all cowards. You are afraid to leave your Microsoft OS world and enter the Apple OS Universe!

I have 2 questions for people who are more computer literate than I am please. My cat jumps on my keyboard occasionally and does things that I can usually undue. Now, for some reason the toolbar, I believe that is what it is called. (The Address at the top with the toolbar) will come into view only if I put my cursor over it. BUT, at the bottom where my Start and my icons are, has dissappeared alltogether and doesn't re-appear even with my cursor. How do I get Both of those back?

My Windows XP Home Edition crashed. I can only access the C:> prompt using a bootable CD. I can see the picture JPG files in various C drive directories but don't know how to recover them before I reinstall Widows. I do NOT want to lose all my family pictures! Please help!!!!!!!!!!

someone asked me how much is your computer's hard disk space, and i went to my computer to right-click on HDD(C:)..thats obvious..it showed Capacity: 30 GB. but i later wondered, right next to my C drive lay something else called the Data(D:)..i right-clicked on that and checked the capacity, it says capacity 111gb. does my computer has 111+30 gb of space.. i don't think so...what exactly is the D drive then...having more capacity than the usual C

I want to add bullets to something I'm making, and I can't get it so that when you hit ENTER to go to the next line and then hit TAB, a different looking bullet will appear underneath the above line. I know how to insert bullets, but they are all the same and right underneath each other. How can I make it so it looks something like this:

For some reason we are getting alot of ads for some pretty vulgar things coming to our e-mail addresses. Is there some way to stop this from happening? One of them caused a virus to attack the computer and we had to get work done on it. We have had to stop letting our 7 year old daughter check the e-mail. She saw one and had alot of questions, thank God it wasn't one of the "real bad" ones. If anyone can help me out here I would be forever grateful.
Please tell me that there is a way to stop this. Or do we just
have to put up with it??? I hope not!!!

speak English! and get to someone right in Texas. I googled them to death. All efforts lead back to automated systems and eventually to someone in India. Dell's setup appears to be untouchable. Their headquarters are in Round Rock, TX and Austin, TX.

I was able to get 512-338-4400 BUT THAT'S AUTOMATED, TOO! When I finally reached an English speaker, she refused to connect me after I gave her the names of some senior people I needed to talk with. FYI. Michael Dell is no longer actively in charge. Kevin Rollins is the Pres and CEO. I would like to get to his office OR to Ro Parra, V.P. in charge of Consumer Sales & Small business. Any ideas?

Everytime I turn my computer on and my desktop loads, a system folder (search results) automatically opens. I have tried right clicking on it and going into properties but It wont delete. I dont want to remove it from my system, only the desktop. Its very annoying. Anyone help?
