i want to upload some photos to a website and they must be a jpeg file. for some reason mine are bitmap. can i convert the pics somehow to jpeg?

i have windows xp home sp/2, and i was told to turn off simple file sharing but when i go to tools/folder option/view - advanced i do not see that option available to me.

First you know when your browsing stuff and the pages appear on your tool bar? Well they arent there anymore for example this page dosent show on my toolbar.

I received a warning from Big Fix that there was a conflict with Internet Explorer 7 but I couldn't see any suggestions on what to do about it.I've had Explorer 7 for a long time without any apparent problems.Should I just ignore the warning from Big Fix or roll back to Explorer 6?

Hi, I Just downloaded a few clips off google, from one of my fav. shows, and I'd like to put them on a disc, so that I can play them on my DVD player. The only thing is---Is that my Computer does not have a DVD burner...I can put the file, or data or whatever on a CD-R disc, but it will only allow me to play it on Computers. Is there any way I can change the format of the file, so that I would be able to play it on a DVD player, or no?

I really want to be able to download free songs to put on my ipod. What is the best place download them? Safe, free and at least decent sound quality? What is the worst place? Viruses, anything bad.... I know my friend has bearshare but she's had some problems, is it any good?

I run my defrager frequently and I've scanned for viruses (I have McAfee, spybot, ad-aware and spydoctor), got firewalls and plenty of RAM. It's a cable modem but It frequently times out when accessing various sites.

I've tried safe mode and that program that is supposed to let you delete folders and they didn't work. I've also tried through the command window, but I can't navigate to the folder. For some reason, when I open the Documents and Settings folder, I have a folder 'Owner' that I can't open. (This is the one I want to delete) It tells me access denied. I also have another folder 'Owner.LEON' that has all of my documents and I am able to open. I need to open the 'Owner' File so I can delete a .rar file that is taking up too much room on my drive or just delete the whole folder altogether.

I can burn most things like data discs and dvds with no problems, my dvd writer is not even a year old plus its part of my laptop so not gonna be dead cheap to replace.
