Yes, someone on another computer can get your IP address. There are programs out there that can tell people that info.

Your Internet Service Provider knows your addy, of course, and if required by law has to hand over every single thing you have done on-line.

if you are running windows xp simply click on start ..accessories ... click on command prompt .. then type in ipconfig and it will tell you what your ip address is
