It is very easy if you have XP. Just highlight all the photos in a folder you want to zip.
Then right click on one of the highlighted files and choose ..
Send to
compressed (zipped) folder.
This will create a new zipped folder automaticallly within the same folder and will contain all the photos you chose. .. Really kewl.

Size would still be a restriction. If the pictures are jpeg format, use something like Paint Shop Pro and copy each picture then paste one on top of the other going down vertically in a new picture that would initially be empty, so as to make one long picture that contains several of your pictures. Save that as one picture, but watch your size since each picture you add to the "vertical collage" will increase by the size of each picture added. That could be added to an email as one attachment.

Open up a new folder and put all the pictures you want to send in that folder. Once done, zip that new folder (using WinZip or WinRAR) and attach that zipped folder as an attachment to your email. They will all be in that folder and all the recipient has to do is to unzip the folder to view the pictures.

probably the easiest way, if you want to be sure they are viewed exactly as you send them, would be to insert them in a word document and send that. If you set them up in an html doc, there will still be multiple files involved.
Zipping them up as a .zip or .rar would give you only one file to send, but would not guarantee the recipient would view them as you described.
