I was watching wallace and gromit with the kids and decided to show them how it was done. Digital camera, toy robot, MS Movie maker. An hour later I had a daft 10 second film. So people have powerfull PCs and software, but are they using them? If not - why? I'm not pontificating here - just wondering - especially as there are other posts along the lines of "I'm bored, what can I do?"

After my computer has been turned on, everything works fine. After a couple of hours, everything works except my keyboard, keeping me from being able to type anything. I have to restart my computer in order for it to work again. But it is a recurring problem.

Problem is I bought the computer over a year ago from someone who is no longer in business. It was one he built and I have no manual on it...no info at all other than what the computer itself tells me. How do I find out if I need ATI or whatever compatible video card?

A ot of things work fine on my computer, but when I try to Defragment something it says: "Disk Defragmenter has detected that Chkdsk is scheduled to run on the volume: C:
Please run Chkdsk /f." I do not have by the way, a Microsoft XP CD. Please, Please, Please help me with this. I am looking for the best answer ever! I do not want to see that blue screen ever again! (PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME TO GO TO A COMPUTER WORKSHOP.)

When you go to the GeekSquad at Best Buy they charge atleast 69 or up to 200 dollars in some places for a diagnostic and all they do is run some software that finds out where the problem is. I don't have that kind of money and I need a way to find out what is wrong with my computer whether it be a software or a hardware issue.

So I need to know what is the name of this software or anything similar to this that can check both hardware and software issues.
