I get this i/o error if it is in my laptops hard disk drive should I get a new hard disk drive?

What is the i/o error message saying? May be your harddrive is not securely fasten to your laptop. The error is indicating it can not access the harddrive so you need to see if something is loose with the connectivity to the drive. It doesn't neccessarily mean you need to get a new drive.
