turn it off ,well...you wont have to if its out of battery power anyway! Plug in the power adaptor to an electric outlet and wait for the amber light to change to yellow/green.This LED indicator which is located at the base edge of yr laptop denotes yr battery pack status. Also, read yr TROUBLE -SHOOTING MANUAL.Total time taken for re-booting is usually an hour. When you reboot ,it takes a little time for yr files to open. This mechanism is nowadays built-in .So sit back and relax with a PDA, TV or a nice book by then!

Rebooting is just a colloquial term for restarting. Just turn the computer off and then start it again...you have just rebooted your computer.

Go to the start menu. Click Turn Off Computer, then Shutdown.
Or if you need to cold boot, press the power button for several seconds. The computer will then shut off. Press it again to turn it back on.
Hope this helps.
