I can't even imagine rolling the paper in or going to the next line. See, I forgot the term for going to the next line.

LOL! I barely remember how to write with a pen!

I would never want to have to go back to a typewriter. Actually, I think I did most of my writing by hand, and typed it up at the end. But cutting and pasting phrases, sentences, even whole paragraphs is so wonderful that I believe it's improved my writing immensely. I might have let awkward construction slide because fixing it was just too much work.

I wonder if writing in general has gotten better for just that reason. (Not so you'd notice it here in Answers, though.)

there were different type of typewriters there is the old Corona's which were(1) not electric and then you got to use the IBM's which where pretty cool after you figured out how to be soft on the keys (2)which where electric
the same phrases used today where used back then. the only thing is the return is now the enter key on this computer and there are added keys such as windows and control and alt., other than that the keyboard looks pretty much the same. and of course there wasn't the stuff to the right of it. the only numbers we had back then are the ones above the letters. no f1 thru f12 either just the regular numbers.

Rolling paper? Going to the next line? What is a typewriter?

Carriage return (because the carriage is returned to the other side of the page). I could probably muddle along, but that's just because I actually used a typewriter when I was young. I remember actually correcting stuff on the page with whiteout! I'm guess that the market for correction fluid has never been the same since the use of personal computers exploded.
