All I want to do, is take an .avi or .mov file and take screenshots to
save as jpegs. I use DivX to play them, and I can't play them in WMP. The Print-Screen thing doesn't work - the video screen is just copied as blank. Help!

Ok, i bought COD 2 today but after I installed it, I faced a few problems. But first, my computer is a windows xp w/ enough memory, 512 mg ram, pentium 4, direct x 9.c, and broadband.

Problem 1- single player mode does not open at all, and does not give any error reports. It is totally unresponsive.

Problem 2- when i open multiplayer mode, i see the picture before the game loads but then an error that says: Direct x encountered an unrecoverable error. Check the direct x faq for possible solutions.

So I checked the faq. I followed what they said and went to start>run>dxdiag>display. The faq told me to make sure all the direct x features were installed. I noticed that one was not installed, the AGP texture acceleration.

If I have the latest Direct x update, why is the AGP texture acceleration there? Is this affecting my game?

Any help is very much appreciated!

have a toshiba laptop and have created resore points every month
i then tried to restore my comp to a set restore point but it keeps saying unable to restore was wondering if it was my norton anti virus stopping it any ideas

Tried reducing font but that did not work. I have enlarged icons for vision needs. What is on the page (text,icons, pics, etc) will not fit into the view screen. I prefer extra large *.*

I'm looking at buying a new computer, and I've always loved the Mac style and operating system, but the only thing stopping me from buying one right this second is that I'm not sure if my Sims 2 PC game will work with it, and that is my favorite thing in the whole world, so does anyone know if I will still be able to use the same game? Or will I have to buy a new one? if so, do they even make one for Macs? This is all very upsetting

I have a sony ericsson s710a its a very good cell phone but its very bulky im willing to get the W800 i need a loud phone because the place where i work is kinda noisy. Is the W800 as loud as the S710a.

When I load about 5 or more windows. I get the following message.Not enough resources to run this application. It also at that point is blending windows.(windows are overlapping each other making it difficult,and often impossible to read. I know I have over 20 gigs of room on the system. I don't know how much RAM I have available. I have dumped all cookies, run scan disk, and defragged.
question 1)How do I check how much RAM is availabe? 2) what else can I do?

It freezes up (just lately) and when I am on a site trying to upload something and it gives you the window, i search the files but once I open once of them and then try to open another, it freezes and closes my whole internet window. ALSO- When I am running my Windows Movie Maker-it freezes up and closes sometimes- I have a laptop-I use wireless internet to connect and when i access some pages on the internet, it prompts me to connect or work offline???? If I click connect it trys using dial up- WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS POS?!?! I paid a lot of money for my computer- have 120gb of memory and have only used less than 20% of that- there is no reason for all this to happen. HELP. please.

I have an AMD machine (not this one). I had Win98 on it. Now I've installed WinXP. Everything is working properly here except that I cannot install this internet connection of Tata Indicom here. It was working properly on Win98.
It works by connecting the phone to the PC through USB. To install the internet I must make the machine detect my phone automatically as a new hardware. This is the thing that's not happening. But if I restart the machine after reinserting the USB cord behind my CPU it says New Hardware Found for just one second and then vanishes. I can't even find the icon in the Taskbar. If I try to search for any new hardware from Control Panel, it fails. I gotta make my machine detect my phone. If it detects the phone properly then the rest of the installation process can be carried out smoothly.
I don't know what to do. Please help..........
