I have an AMD machine (not this one). I had Win98 on it. Now I've installed WinXP. Everything is working properly here except that I cannot install this internet connection of Tata Indicom here. It was working properly on Win98.
It works by connecting the phone to the PC through USB. To install the internet I must make the machine detect my phone automatically as a new hardware. This is the thing that's not happening. But if I restart the machine after reinserting the USB cord behind my CPU it says New Hardware Found for just one second and then vanishes. I can't even find the icon in the Taskbar. If I try to search for any new hardware from Control Panel, it fails. I gotta make my machine detect my phone. If it detects the phone properly then the rest of the installation process can be carried out smoothly.
I don't know what to do. Please help..........

I've got the installation CD for this connection from Tata Indicom and on its manual it is written that first I got to connect the USB cord to the phone from my PC and then after it detects the phone as new hardware and starts the installation wizard automatically, then only the rest of the installation process may be continued.
