yes... any solution that attacks plastic for sure ... like paint thinner or even spray from an aerosol can containing any solvents like bug spray for example ...im not sure exactly what causes it but ive even seen cd-rs' stored in a box in a basement corrode under the surface ... maybe it was humidity .. maybe it was somthing spilled on it i dont know ... but yes for sure ... certain liquids can damage them.

Usually ALL liquids damage it over time.. the only liquid that doesnt damage it is Rubbing Alcohol..

yes. liquids like petroleum products, water, milk etc. will develop a corrosion on disk surface. where the disk becomes unusable

if you mark on it with a sharpie marker, it will eventually hurt it.
