I'm looking at buying a new computer, and I've always loved the Mac style and operating system, but the only thing stopping me from buying one right this second is that I'm not sure if my Sims 2 PC game will work with it, and that is my favorite thing in the whole world, so does anyone know if I will still be able to use the same game? Or will I have to buy a new one? if so, do they even make one for Macs? This is all very upsetting

PC game as in it runs on Windows? If that's what you're asking, the answer is yes, you can run Sims 2 on there. HOWEVER, you're also going to buy Windows XP, seeing that the Mac doesn't actually include Windows XP when you buy it. So, that's $100.

Then you'll need to download a program called Boot Camp off of the Apple website ( http://www.apple.com/bootcamp ). Run the software with the Windows install disk inside your computer and follow the instructions. Now, do note that Boot Camp is currently in the beta stage, so things may not be at its smoothest, but it should be fine.

If Sims 2 is a Mac product that you have, then that will also work, but it may run at a slower speed because the processor it's currently written for (IBM) is different than what you will have with the MacBook (Intel).

Sims2 is a PC game - will not work on a Mac.

However there are embedding utilities that would allow you to install and run Windows from inside the Mac OS - then you could load whatever PC programs all you want.

I can't remember the cost, but it is substantial.
