You may have a virus. Do a virus scan and see if it can be removed.
Other things you can do...a Scan Disk to check for errors, try closing some programs that may cause your computer to slow down such as any IM programs or Adobe. Go to Run and enter msconfig, go to the last tab, should be called Start Up and uncheck any programs such as any IM's, Kazaa or other downloading programs. Just make sure they don't have .exe in the Command Field. These are usually manditory for your computer to start up in the first place.
If it's not resolved try taking it to Dell or your local PC servicer, or the company you bought it from.
Hope this helps.

Make sure your computer isnt infected with an annoyance virus by scanning at an online site like housecalls, then delete all your temp internet folders, caches and cookies. Now scan disk and defrag. The amount of processes you have running could also cause your comp. to freeze up.
I'd start by making sure system is clean and the scan disk and defragmentation.

Scan your computer for both Spyware, Virus & or Trojans. Things like that are normally responsible for making a computer freeze to where you have to keep restarting it.

First I would Disk Cleanup the computer. Then I would Scan the Disk. If these solutions doesn't work, then I would adjust the setting on the mouse. If this problem persist, then I would either contact the manufacturer or reformat my computer.

If you don't have any virus's, and you spiffed up your hard drive, it may be running hot ! When's the last time you cleaned the computer case out? The fans may be clogged with dust, or maybe they aren't running at all..try cleaning it.

If you have anti-virus software run it, also a anti-spyware software, run it. If you have neither you can use a free download like AVG for anti-virus and Lavasoft's Ad-Aware. I will post the links below.
Good luck
