by default system restore is set to 12% of the drive therefor if you go back to far the system restore point is partially erased .
only go back one or two points and you should be ok
also if you have uninstalled a program it will not be able to put program back on

I think you hve run out of restore points...or at least the allocated memory for restore points. They actually take up quite a bit of space. My advice is (BACK UP AT ALL COSTS!!) but after that...remove all the old rstore points..and start again. You can do this in the restore settings options...turn off restore points...and I think that will remove all the old ones...and then switch it back on again....then create a new one. Peaple often forget that restore points are often created automaticaly..especially if you install software.

could be your resore file size is not large enough, and the point you are trying to restore has been erased

you need to evaluate the concepts to a device fix first. you could deploy and run Avast! Anti-Virus on your Virus. you could deploy and run CCleaner on your junk records and sparkling your registry If none of those artwork for then you definately back up all your significant records onto an exterior troublesome tension or a understanding DVD (any DVD would be high quality) Then proceed along with your device fix. via the way all the utility I indexed is loose.
