I have heard reports from some of my older friends/relatives that this is a neccesary safety precaution, but I have my doubts that it is simply paranoia. Is there any fact to this rumor, guys? Please give a source. Thanks.

Sometimes when i start my computer it comes to the point when it lists all the PCI Services, right before the windows xp logo comes up, and the computer would freeze at the list. It won't load at all so i have to restart and sometimes it goes past the PCI Service Listing and sometimes it doesn't so i have to restart again.

So what could be causing this? When the computer successfully loads, the PCI service Listing screen goes by in a flash and then the windows logo comes up but when the start up fails, the PCI Service listing screens stays on for a long time.

Please Help. What is causing my computer to act this way?

I like the internet and I like being able to download music and e-mail friends and read about new cars and things like that but I also think it can be negative on me.

I go to church and I try to be good and sometimes I find spam things in my email box and I'll click on them or I'll see advertisements to bad sites and I click on them kind of out of curiousity (sp?) and do things on the net that I shouldn't and what would be the best way to stop it. Is there any way I could change a setting on my computer so I wouldn't get bad website ads featuring naked women and gambling websites and things like that ??

i downloaded a movie dvd type, but it semms like when i make all steps to make the subtitle work,like put it in the same folder with za same name, the movie start to play slowly, and subtitles are not the same as the speaker talk?? any help/
