do you mean the firefox start page with the search tool? If so add this as your homepage under settings/ internet options/homepage

Are you trying to set firefox.com as your homepage or the program firefox as your default internet programe?

Go to the page you want as your home page and then click on Tools/Options and then click on General. There is a button ther to make the current page your home page (assuming you are using Firefox as your browser)

go to tools and options...check the box that asks whether or not firefox should ask you if it default browser...then restart firefox...that should work...
