Right click an empty part of your desktop...go down to properties...this will bring up the display properties. Click on the settings tab and change your screen resolution. I've discovered that anything above 800 x 600 is good. 1024 x 768 is the best. Then click on apply. Your screen will flicker and resize itself. It will ask you if you want to keep these settings...click yes before the timer runs down. If a timer appears.
Next, go to the control panel and click on the system icon. Go to hardware, and then click the device manager. Look for the display adapters, and see if there is a red x or a yellow exclaimation point next to one. The reasoning behind this is to find out if you need to update your display driver. You can do it anyway, as long as you have an internet connection. If you don't update your display driver, it will reset itself to HUGE every time you reboot.
I hope this helps. Good luck

Two things to try. One go to control panel, clidk on Display, clidk on Settings, change your screen resolution to a higher resolution. ex. (1024 x 768) and then click Apply. If you cant click Apply because it isn't on the screen then goto control panel, click on System, click on Hardware, click on Device Manager, click on Monitor, right click on the monitor that is listed, click uninstall, then restart your computer. This will reinstall that monitor driver with its default setting with the screen size that you will beable to work with.
