Why is it soooooooo hard? Can anyone suggest a site where a moron like me can go to get the basic steps of burning a dvd? I thought I had it knocked yesterday, but when I put the dvd into my pc dvd player, it kept saying no disc in player. I have no idea of anything abuot the pc dvd player as it was a refurb replacement from Dell, and came with no documentation. If anyone can send me to a tutorial site for learning to burn dvds from the very basics, I'll put you in my will. Which means, of course, you'll get my cat! LOL...

I used to be able to change my background at will, putting photos I had taken up, but now when I go to those options, the only thing I can do is change the background color as the images (inluding the BROWSE button) are grayed out. I have tried just about every imaginable combination of modifying themes and choosing backgrounds, but still, the only thing I can do is change the color of the desktop. However, when I go to shut down the computer, the image I previously had selected shows briefly.

I keep reinstalling ADSL WebPower Modem Program for my internet connection and after about 10 or 15 minutes it up and disappears from My Network Connections folder and I have to start all over again. It seems like something is deleting it. I have Symantec AntiVirus and Windows Defender on my computer, but that is about all that I can think of.

I keep having porno sites popping up annoying me, I have gotten a new Norton security and it made my computer speed up but not blocking the sites!!! My computer freezes up everytime a page tries to load up, how do I delete or get rid of those somehow? IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!

ok well its a long story if you ask me i will tell you but here is some of it ok well there is this girl named megan and she goes to my school and she WON'T stop e-mailing me she says mean things about me i have told me mom my mom has e-mailed her telling her to STOP but she won't she broke my computer i just got it fixed she might have to pay for it because it was $1,000 to get it fixed i reported her to spam but everytime i do she gets a new e-mail and keeps e-maiuling i have told if she doesn't stop e-mailing me im gonna call the police because they are really scary e-mails! I needed to convert an swf file to mpg and downloaded flashon, I think it was called. After trying to export the movie with it, which was inside a folder deep in my documents.. the entire contents of my documents folder is empty, and I had some very valuable files I need. Is there any way to find out what happened, undo it, or restore my files?

Hey...my CD with my new MB says to go on the internet and download info for BIOS reconfiguring...which I have never done.
Question is...once I go on to the internet, should I throw up a quick firewall...and are there any other pitfalls I am not seeing?...Flying blind, though doing everything in safe mode. Am I right to assume I need to update all the new drivers, do various diagnostics, go through all the Windows updates? Now that I have Windows open, any important mistakes I need to not make?
