I have to wait for my mouse pointer to move like an inch at a time. I'm using ati radeon xpress 200 with catalyst control package installed. is it something to do with my chache size or is there no hope at all?

It might be the setting in your mouse. Go to control panel > mouse and take a look in there. There should be a setting for how fast your mouse can move.

If you are using a roller ball mouse take the ball out and use tweezers to clean the lint off the plastic pins inside the mouse

Go look at your current settings for your mouse. The mouse speed might be set too low, and you may have to raise it. Or, your computer is lagging.

the other thing you could do is clean the ball (if it uses one). that can affect how quickly your mouse moves.
