I am trying to get the user to type in what they want to copy (in DOS), then copy it to the location they wish to copy, through a Batch File in DOS.

(Please only the latest version of DOS, NOT the old commands for older versions)


My main problem is:

I am having the most trouble around this part of the code... it's like it's not reading it right...
WHAT do I do.
I need it to validate if the File or Drive exists or not.
HELP.


Example)

IF not exist %1 echo File does not exist
goto END

IF not exist %2 echo Location does not exist
goto END

I have a windows 98 computer, and yes i know they are out and are old. i have this digital camera that puts itself into drive D b/c that is the default of the software but i dont have a drive d on my computer, C is my default. how do you format a D? or how do you put it into a C so that it will work, b/c when i hook the camera up the found new hardware does not pop up like it is supposed too...also how do you reformatt your harddrive from a windows 98 to an XP? is that possible? or do you have to buy a whole new computer? thanks for any help y'all can offer!

I have tried so many areas to try to get it on atleast my Yahoo home page.. And to my dismay, with "NO LUCK!!" Whatsoever!! Its been very frustrating, too because, I've asked the question as plain and simple, as can be, for them to understand, even gave them the photo number! With no help from the search team, maybe their all on a long coffee break!! Hm,?! Because, they simply referred me to you guys, so any imput what-so-ever, will be greatly appreciated, please make it simple, for me, I am mentally drained from all the time I spent trying to figure this out on my own, thank-you, for your imput.........

My computer responds slowly at boot up until a limited connectivity icon appears in the system tray. Does anyone know why this happens and how to correct it?

By the way, I am sure it isn't start up programs or spyware, because I have turned off unecessary start up programs using MSCONFIG.

wheni started my comm the screen came on ok butthe stack wouldnt even light up in order to start the comm,, is it the power box in the back where the main power supply plugs in,, wen i moved a little switch with 2 sets of numbers just brside the main power plug i got a bang ,, any ideas anyone ,,do i need a new powerbox or hasthe bang i heard ruined more

I have a mac and my friends have pcs. Yahoo messenger tells me my friends are offline whenever I try to view their webcams. It seems to occasionally allow me to view them, but there's often a big struggle. It doesn't seem to matter if I request or they send me invites. Is there a different messenger that allows for a less adruous interaction? I know that yahoo is planning an update for their mac messenger someday but I'm curious to see if there's something else I can do. Thanks!

I have already used DVD Shrink to make a backup copy of my DVD. I do not want to use Nero, instead I would like to use my own DVD program which is Roxio. I tried moving the files to a dvd disk but it would not play on a dvd player. How can I burn by backup DVD into a dvd using Roxio (and that plays on a DVD player)?

I have found that this is the slowest, most un-user friendly OS that I've ever seen. I click one thing and the 'spinning rainbow wheel' spins forever, and everyone knows what rainbows stand for... And what a price tag! (I have a new G5!) OS9 worked much faster and better, hands down. I should toss this piece of garbage and get a PC.

One of my friends is using a mobile device, and they text messaged my computer using the Yahoo! Instant Messenger on their phone. I didn't respond. Will I get charged for them sending messages to my computer using a mobile device, like a cell phone?
