wheni started my comm the screen came on ok butthe stack wouldnt even light up in order to start the comm,, is it the power box in the back where the main power supply plugs in,, wen i moved a little switch with 2 sets of numbers just brside the main power plug i got a bang ,, any ideas anyone ,,do i need a new powerbox or hasthe bang i heard ruined more

You blew your power supply. Those little numbers switch between 110 and 220 volts (US v. Europe). Switching that was a huge mistake. Huge.
You certainly need a new power supply. It's toast. They're designed to protect your system when they blow, but that doesn't always work. Put in the new power supply and see... If the computer works fine, you skated disaster. If it doesn't, you probably fried the motherboard too. Salvage what you can, chuck the computer and buy another.

You sound like you toasted the power supply (powerbox) in your PC. They aren't expensive or overly difficult to replace if you have some PC knowledge but if you don't I would take it to a PC repair professional. It shouldn't cost more than $100 to fix.

That was really stupid and learn how to spell. You need a new power supply.
