Go to http://www.yahoo.com and scroll down. There should be a link to "add our site". You need to add your url address to yahoo.
Do the same thing at http://www.google.com
The links are usually on the bottom, but if it isnt, then just go to their sitemap.

in google, go to about->submit your content to google.
in yahoo, go to the bottom of the page and choose: suggest a page.
you need to wait a few weeks, and some page hits, so that it is crawled to the top.

by making the website code really good and have it linking off many other websites, also if u goto google and read about adwords. this will help.
